Cookies
There are three, and only one of them needs your permission.

The short version
This site sets no cookie at all until you either consent to analytics or sign in to the admin. There is no advertising, no retargeting pixel, no social tracker, and nothing is shared with a data broker.
What can be set
Analytics (Google Analytics 4) — needs consent. _ga and _ga_<id>, up to two years, used to tell a returning visitor from a new one and to count pages. Set only after you agree.
Your consent choice — strictly necessary. Stored in your browser so you are not asked again. It never leaves your device.
Admin session — strictly necessary. Set only if you sign in at /admin/, which is me. It has no purpose for a reader.
Theme preference. Light or dark, kept in your browser. Not a cookie and never sent to the server.
Performance measurement without cookies
Page speed is measured with no cookie and no identifier: the page, the language, the metric, the number, and phone or desktop. Nothing links two visits together, so there is nobody to identify.
Changing your mind
If you were asked and agreed, you can withdraw at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which removes the stored choice and the analytics cookies together. You will be asked again on your next visit.
